A Festive Fall Soup Party

Here’s a sweet idea for kids parties that happen during the fall or winter months…

A soup party! Have you ever tried one? You make a few different kinds of soups and put out toppings for everyone to personalize their own dish. It’s fun for adults, but totally genius for children. Picky kids have control over their own food, and everyone else can experiment as much (or as little) as they feel comfortable with.

The best part: it’s super easy to pull together at the last minute! Annie’s, which happens to be one of my favorite brands for kids’ snacks, just came out with a line of Organic Soups. They come in kid-friendly flavors, but they’re also packed with protein and vegetables. For instance, the Tomato Soup has 1/2 cup of vegetables in every serving and the Chicken Soup has no added antibiotics.

Even though this party took place in the fall, we mixed it up with a rainbow theme. We used a collection of colorful bowls and spoons, grid napkins, and made a centerpiece with bright trees and confetti. We served all 5 flavors of Annie’s Organic Soup and let each kid top their’s off with sour cream, cilantro, cheddar cheese, and Annie’s Cheddar Bunnies. It was a hit!
